The app walks you through it, once per app. In Shortcuts: Automation → New → App → pick the app → Is Opened → Run Immediately, turn the notification off, then add the action Open App → Bible Lock: Screen Time. Open the guarded app once and the app marks it verified.
Blocking an app from the outside needs Apple's Family Controls entitlement, which Apple grants on request. We have requested it. Until it is granted, the app uses the same mechanism one sec used for years: an automation you create. It is honest about being a pause rather than a wall.
iOS runs automations, and it sometimes skips one — usually right after a restart or when Low Power Mode is on. Check that the automation says Run Immediately and that "Notify When Run" is off.
It should not: after a session there is a fifteen-minute grace window for that app. If it happens outside that window, the automation fired twice — deleting and recreating it fixes it.
Settings → Remove all guards. Every app opens normally again immediately, and your streak and reading position are kept. Deleting the app does the same thing.
Open Settings and tap Restore purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID, so make sure you are signed in with the same one you bought with.
Weekly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel them in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. The lifetime purchase is one-time and never renews.
